Kabupaten Ciamis

Ciamis Regency, is a district in West Java province, Indonesia. Its capital is Ciamis City. The county is located in the southeastern part of West Java, bordering Majalengka and Kuningan district in the northern district of Cilacap (Central Java) and Banjar in the eastern Indian Ocean in the south, and Tarlac City and Tasikmalaya District in the west.

Ciamis District consists of 30 districts, which are further divided over a number of villages and wards. Central government in the District of Ciamis.

Kecamatan Banjar, which was once part of Ciamis district, enhanced status and became an administrative city, and since the date of December 11, 2002 is set to be city (autonomous), separated from Ciamis district.

Since approximately five years ago, there were discourses to blossom again Ciamis district (post-release of Banjar and its surroundings into a definitive City), namely by making the District of South Ciamis District covers the southern half of the parent, but it still continues to be discussed at the Legislative District Ciamis, given the tightening non-written rules for the implementation of a regional administrative division (province and regency / municipality). Dimaklum inappropriate, therefore formed a new administrative area will drain a large fund, while the state budget (from central) and budget (from the province) should be dijalurkan to things that are more urgent.
